Okay, time for a bit of a confession.. While it is indeed true that my 9 year old often reminds me that I am "old" with one foot in the grave and the other well you know.. banana peel. (Okay, she does not say this verbatim, but you get the gist.) I often have to remind myself, that I have arrived at what can only be deemed the land of grown-ups. Those of you who know me well know that I have tried my darnedest to stay a bit removed from this place in life. BUT this week, I was reminded that it is true.
For the first time in my life, I get to have a Housesitter stay at my house! This is a huge threshold for me. You see, I have house sat.. dog sat.. kid sat... you name it I have probably sat on it (Oh.. I don't think that I sat on toooo many children!), but I have yet to have a need to have some one sit for me. Prior to the past couple of years the only thing that needed caring for was the always withered plant sitting listlessly in the corner. Hmmm... perhaps a plant sitter would have been helpful.
So, as Paige, Templeton, and I prepare to head due East to the land of the Big Sky (that would be Montana) my dear friend Katie has graciously offered to tend the farm. So, I have moved from the sitter to the sittee...
