Yurt????????????????????????????????????

Well, you can imagine our surprise as Paige and I drove up (car fully packed mind you) to THIS camping site. You may notice, that you see quite a bit of nothing. You will certainly notice, as we did, that there is no yurt! As Paige will tell you, "my mom thought that the yurt may have been hidden in the bushes or trees." But after a moment of searching we quickly realized that SOMEONE had registered for tent camping not yurt camping. So, what was one to do? It was so one of those laugh or cry moments. Well, Paige and I chose laugh. We looked directly at each other and burst out laughing.
After a quick trip to Fred Meyer with tent (and air mattress) in hand we were ready to embark on our TENT camping adventure. And what a great time it was. The weather was AWESOME. I eventually learned the fine art of building a fire. I am no pro for sure, and I was so thankful that we did not have to rely on my fire skills for our meals! Without a doubt this first solo camping adventure will be one for the memory books! AND now we have all of the gear for many more trips, so you can bet that we will be heading out again.
