Do you remember the character on Home Improvement, Wilson? The friendly neighbor always handy with a word of advice, but of course the audience could only see the very top of his face. Well, I am happy to say that I have my own personal Wilson! Yes, it is true! Today while I was mowing my lawn with my new gas lawn mower. Ah... yes there is a story. You see for the past three summers I have used my cutsie little electric mower. Light.. VERY easy to start, kind of a girly mower really. Well, today something happened to the cute lawn mower causing smoke to spew from the motor. Not a good sign, or smell for the matter. All who know me well know that my mechanical skills are limited to say the least so fixing said lawn mower was sooooo not an option! So, off to Home Depot my daughter and I went. But being as I am trying to be cautious with the spending of money, I decided to go for the good old fashioned gas operated pull the cord to start model. So.. I brought it home. Luckily "Wilson" came over, (I have actually seen his profile from head to toe.) and I recruited him to tutor me in the operation of my new tool. Well.. it didn't start out too well. AND I must admit that I was a weeeee bit grumpy. (The number of eeees in weeee may give you an indication that weeee may be a slight understatement.) I did finally get it started, but then had to turn the stupid thing off! (Ahh.. you are getting a sense for how this is going!) This is where the Wilson moment came in. When I went to start it again, nothing.... I pulled and pulled.. and nothing. Finally, "Wilson" popped his head over the fence, and told me that I had probably flooded it, and that I didn't need to prime it any more. AND you know what? I didn't.. and yes the thing started up right away.
So, thank you Wilson!
